Even though only 24 years old and primarily self-taught, Washington-born designer/developer Mitch Vega is no stranger to the graphic arts world, with a diverse international recognition and publication history including fine art annuals, video game concept artwork and comic books. “In recent works, I have moved away from sci-fi, fantasy and cartoon elements towards more iconographic and abstract themes, but my goal has always been to capture contemporary beauty, and my method to approach modern digital graphic technology with a foundation of classical skill.” Perhaps the most uniting theme of his body of work is a cheeky, memorable sense of humor, as well as deep attention to color and detail that keeps the viewer engaged and entertained. With a technical background in web design as well as art, Mitch supports himself by create websites that are fully functional, adaptive to any size and resource-efficient in addition to being works of art. His career goal is to be self employed as a web media consultant, making the cutting edge visual technology used by the top marketing firms accessible to individuals and grassroots organizations working towards positive change and a world that can support all sentient beings.
